The manufacturing of color coated sheets involves a series of precise steps to ensure durability and performance. Here's how crafts its PPGI coils:
Base Material Selection
We start with premium steel substrates, such as hot-dip galvanized steel (zinc coating: 60-275 g/m²) or aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel (Galvalume, with 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, 1.5% silicon). These substrates provide a strong foundation for corrosion resistance.
Cleaning and Pretreatment
The steel is thoroughly cleaned to remove impurities like oil and rust, followed by a chemical pretreatment to enhance coating adhesion. This step ensures the paint bonds seamlessly, preventing peeling over time.
Coating Application
A primer (5-10 microns) is applied, followed by a topcoat (20-30 microns) of high-quality paint, such as polyester (PE), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), high-durability polyester (HDP), or silicone-modified polyester (SMP). Curing and Quality Control
